LUZERNE
Flimflam operation
victimizes resident
Police say a woman distracted a homeowner Friday afternoon so another
person could steal money from an upstairs room.
The woman stopped at the unspecified residence at 4 p.m. and asked for a
drink of water to take pills she needed for a pregnancy, Kingston police said.
While in the home’s kitchen area, she began stomping on the floor as an
apparent distraction. Someone else then entered the home and took money. After
drinking the water and chatting for several minutes, the woman left.
She is described as 25 to 30 years old, dark-skinned, with a heavy build,
dark brown hair, a gold tooth and three earrings in one ear. She was last seen
wearing a dark brown jacket and pants. Kingston police are investigating the
incident as a possible flimflam operation.
