March 15, 2003 George M. Kapral, beloved husband, father, son, brother and
uncle, 47, of Trucksville section of Kingston Township, died Saturday morning
at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, July 30, 1955, he
was a son of Sophie Ann (Stepanski) Kapral of Dallas and the late George
Kapral. He was a 1973 graduate of Dallas High School. Mr. Kapral had been
employed as a hot end shift mechanic with Techneglas Inc. He was a member of
St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown section of Kingston Township. He was also a
member of the Sons of the American Legion, Larksville, and was a former member
of the Harveys Lake Rod and Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his father,
George Kapral. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, the former Jeanne Bartosh;
son, George M. Kapral II, at home; daughter, Regina M. Kapral, at home;
mother, Sophie Ann Kapral, Dallas; mother-in-law, Jean Bartosh, Trucksville,
Kingston Township; sisters, Deborah Kapral, Wilkes-Barre; Constance Kapral,
Long Branch, N.J.; Suzanne Kelly, Kingston; brothers, Gerald Kapral, Dallas;
Neal Kapral, Dallas; Donald Kapral, Hanover Township; nieces, nephews and
cousins. George devoted his life to his wife and children and was deeply loved
by his family and friends. No one can take his place. He is in the arms of our
Lord and the angels. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday
in St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown, Kingston Township, with Monsignor J.
Peter Crynes officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s of the Maternity
Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the
church. Arrangements are by the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main
St., Shavertown, Kingston Township.
