John Holleran

    John (Jack) E. Holleran, 77, of Falls, died Sunday at home.
   
Born Nov. 14, 1925, in Pittston, he was a son of the late John J. and
Catherine (O’Donnell) Holleran. He graduated from Pittston High School. He
served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater aboard the
LST 571. He worked as a travel agent for Travelong Co., Summit, N.J. He was a
member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston, and its Holy Name Society.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Kaprosch; son, John J.,
Cranford, N.J.; daughters, Judee Garrett, Harding; Peggy Booth, Harveys Lake;
five grandchildren; brother, Robert, Greta, Va.; and nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral
Home, 134 Church St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
in St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery,
Pittston.
   
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
