Anthony DeSanto

    Anthony J. DeSanto, 73, of Pittston, died Monday at Heritage House,
Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born April 2, 1929, in Pittston, he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary
(Dalessandro) DeSanto. He graduated from Pittston High School. He worked as a
dress manufacturer; for the Voter Registration Bureau, Luzerne County; and
also for MotorWorld. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of
St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church, Pittston.
   
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Josephine Agliata.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Gert Smith; sons, Anthony, Pittston
Township; Joseph, Jenkins Township; Angelo and John, Wilkes-Barre; seven
grandchildren; sister, Mary Giamber, Pittston, and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Graziano Funeral Home
Inc., 700 Township Blvd, Pittston Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Sibilano
O.S.J. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pittston
Township.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
