Charlotte Somerville

Charlotte P. Somerville, formerly of West Wyoming, died Monday at Meadows
Nursing Center, Dallas.
Born Jan. 25, 1916, in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Evan and
Anna Powell. She graduated from Kingston High School and the Wyoming Seminary
Dean School of Business. She worked in the office of Power Engineering Corp.,
Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church,
Edwardsville; Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Kingston, and was also a
volunteer at that hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sisters, Jane Kowalchik,
Nancy Parry; brothers, Evan, David, Lewis and Richard Powell.
Surviving are her sister, Betty Martin, Indiana, Pa.; and several nieces
and nephews.
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family at the
Hugh Jones Funeral Home, Kingston, with the Rev. Louis Falcone officiating.
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational
Church.
