Margaret Makar

    Margaret D. Makar, 89, formerly of Nanticoke, died Sunday at Little Flower
Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born Oct. 2, 1913, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late John and
Anna (Janitski) Yeager. She attended Nanticoke schools. She worked for the
United Mine Workers of America, Wilkes-Barre; and for Superior Motors,
Kingston. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Slovak Church, Nanticoke.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A.; sister, Mary Mihalik;
brothers, John, Joseph and Frank Yeager.
   
Surviving are her daughter, Margaret C., Colorado; son, Charles J.,
Wilkes-Barre; a grandson; sister, Anna Lewis, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and
brother, Albert Yeager, Nanticoke.
   
A funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Little Flower
Manor, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s
Cemetery, Nanticoke.
   
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the E. Blake Collins Funeral
Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Cerebral
Palsy, Wilkes-Barre.
