Regional Toyota dealerships have agreed to a three-year sponsorship
commitment with the Nationwide Tour’s Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, it was
announced on Monday.

Toyota will continue in its role as the tournament’s official automobile
sponsors through 2005 and will contribute $180,000 to the tourney in cash and
automobile use during those years. This year’s NEPA Classic is set for June
9-15 at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic.
“Having a well-respected corporation such as Toyota continue its
involvement for another three years is yet another indication of the success
our tournament continues to have,” said Paul Taramelli, the NEPA Classic
tournament director.

In its fourth year, the NEPA Classic will donate $21,000 to St. Joseph’s
Center, Allied Services and the Wilkes-Barre Catholic Youth Center. The
tournament is still seeking volunteers to serve as marshals, walking scorers
and assistance in other areas for this year’s event. Volunteers receive a gift
package worth more than $300. Those interested in volunteering should call
348-2900 for information.
