Junk hauled away

by city workers

Mayor Tom McGroarty directed city workers on Tuesday to haul junk from some
condemned Barney Street properties.

The properties, at 51-53 and 55 Barney St., are owned by Victor Cruz of 26
Pine Ridge Drive. They were condemned Feb. 20 after two men were arrested
there and charged with drug possession.

“If you don’t clean up your messes, we will do it and force you to pay,”
Mayor Tom McGroarty said in a written statement.
