Mildred Searles

    Mildred A. Searles, 92, of Avery Station Road, Tunkhannock, died Tuesday at
the VNA Hospice Unit of Community Medical Center, Scranton.
   
Born March 5, 1911, in Ashley, she was a daughter of the late Robert and
Sarah (Dunmore) Gyle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lemon United
Methodist Church.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; sister, Florence Hoovan;
brothers, John, Russell, Charles, George, Howard and Robert.
   
Surviving are sons, Willard and Donald, East Lemon; six grandchildren;
several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the Harding-Litwin Funeral
Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Edwin Simmons officiating.
Interment will be in Lynn Cemetery, Springville.
   
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the East Lemon United Methodist Church.
