March 20, 2003 Bernard A. Pohutsky, 75, of Wright Avenue, Kingston, died
Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born April 24, 1927, in
Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Alexander and Helen Pruznel Pohutsky. A
graduate of Ashley High School, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He was
employed at the Kanaar Corp., Wilkes-Barre, and at RAF Manufacturing, Mountain
Top. Mr. Pohutsky attended St. Ignatius Church, Kingston and was a member of
the Catholic War Veterans, Post 274, Ashley. He was preceded in death by his
sister, Elizabeth Pohutsky. Surviving, Nancy McCormick, Kingston, his
companion; her son and daughter in law, Albert and Linda McCormick, Kingston;
their children, Tim McCormick and his wife, Becky, Newton, N.H.; and Kelly
McCormick, Hawthorne, N.J.; several cousins. The funeral will be held Monday
at 9 a.m. from Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, with a
Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in St.
Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Sunday 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Renovation
Fund, 339 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
