Elizabeth Brader

    Elizabeth “Bette” Brader, of Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday
at River Street Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born June 16, 1918, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph
and Louise (Schmidal) Swoboda. She was a 1936 graduate of Plains Township High
School. She was owner and operator of Brader’s Cafe, Wilkes-Barre, for many
years and was a member of Holy Saviour Church, Wilkes-Barre.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; daughter, Josephine
Ann Ferris; sisters, Frances Endler, Mary Haughney, Theresa Jones, Louise
Puterbaugh and Josephine Joyce; and brother, Joseph.
   
Surviving are granddaughter, JoAnn Kittrick, with whom she resided; a
grandson; and five great-grandsons.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral
Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. at Holy Saviour Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township.
