Helen Grasso Cardamone, of Pittston, formerly of Old Forge and Scranton, died Sunday, August 2, at home.
She was the widow of the late Ernest Cardamone and was also preceded in death by her husband Frank “Concetto” Grasso.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Anna Knapik. She was a very giving person and loved everyone. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was the loving mother of son Anthony Valunas and wife Patricia, Scranton; and daughters Laura Webb and husband Theodore, Exeter; and Sandra Ozark and husband Joseph, West Pittston. She had seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and would have had her first great-great-granddaughter in two weeks.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Patrick F. Guido Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 620 S. Main Ave., Old Forge. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m.
