Heather Perkowski’s RBI single in the third inning proved to be the game winner in Nanticoke/Newport’s 7-3 victory over Radner/Wayne on Monday in semifinal action of the Junior Softball State Tournament.
Sammy Gow hit a triple and reached base four times for Nanticoke/Newport, while Maggie Gola hit a double. Hannah Rubasky struck out six to pick up the win.

NORMAN “RAB” ABRECHT MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
Northwest 9, Wyoming/West Wyoming 4
Austin Ford hit a grand slam home run to lead Northwest. Sam Edwards added a triple, and Brandon Hardiman doubled for the winners. Tyler Steven struck out four to notch the victory.
Joe Sklrip has three hits to lead Wyoming/West Wyoming, and Alex Gonzoles had a triple.
Hanover 7, Ed/Lark 4
Noah Jackson and Matt Tarnalicki had two hits apiece for Hanover in a game that was played on Sunday.
For Ed/Lark, Nate Baransji and Codey Foley each had two hits.
