WILKES-BARRE – A 25-year-old city man was sentenced Monday to four to eight years in state prison for his participation in a heroin ring.
Christopher Allen, with a last known address of Oakwood Lane, was sentenced by Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. on one count of corrupt organizations and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.
Allen pleaded guilty to the charges in June.
According to court records, the Luzerne County Drug Task Force, the state Office of the Attorney General and Kingston police charged five people, including Allen, also known as “Face,” on Oct. 2 with distributing a large amount of heroin in Edwardsville, Kingston and Wilkes-Barre.
Authorities said they seized 240 packets of heroin stamped “Obama” from a Hazle Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, house.
