FRANK STEPHEN BELLES SR., of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Hospice Care of the VNA, Inpatient Unit. Born Aug.2, 1950, he was a son of the late Thomas and Leona Barber Belles. Frank had attended school in Edwardsville and later served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Shotwell. Surviving are sons Frank Jr., Forest; brothers Ronald, Joseph; sister Elizabeth Shotwell; numerous nephews, including his fishing partner, Dave Shotwell Sr.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Sandy Piccione (retired) officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m.
