DONALD E. BLOOM, of Allentown, Pa., died suddenly in his home on Friday, July 31, 2009. Born in Baltimore, Md., on Oct. 1, 1959, he was a son of Helen Cohill Bloom of Baltimore and the late Eugene E. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joanne Weaver Bloom; son Nicholas R.; four brothers and sisters; and nine nieces and nephews. He had a passion for cooking and was recently employed at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, Pa.

A private burial has been arranged.
