Jeffrey Duane Strouse, 41, of Plains Township, died Monday evening at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Born in Bellefonte, Pa., he was a son of Rickey and Esther (Keith) Strouse of Weatherly.
He was a graduate of Weatherly Area High School, Class of 1986, and was employed as a corrections officer for Luzerne County for the past 15 years.
Jeff was an assistant coach for the Plains Yankees Football Association and Plains Little League. He was also involved with the wrestling program at the YMCA.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, the former Rachel (Renee) Allen; daughters Tara and Darlene; and son Patrick, all at home; brother Jason and his wife, Genene, Weatherly, Pa.; nephew Victor; and nieces DeAnna and Linsey.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Corcoran Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Amara, Pastor of the Plains United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Plains Township.
