Rebecca Lou Brunner, 62, of Tunkhannock, passed away Friday evening, August 28, 2009, at Kingston Commons, Kingston.
She was born in Binghamton, N.Y., on November 18, 1946, a daughter of the late Abdon Hermida and Sarah Cecelia Ross Rodriguez. Rebecca was a graduate of Johnson City High School, Johnson City, N.Y., graduating in 1965. Rebecca worked as a sous chef in the New York and Pennsylvania areas. She enjoyed the arts, especially quilting and painting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Brunner, who passed away on August 17, 2008.
Surviving are her sister, Wendy Whitesell, of Kingston; two nieces, Naomi Reynolds, of Nicholson, and Jessica Whitesell, of Plymouth; nephew Heath Rusinko, of Wilkes-Barre; three great-nieces, Sara, Emma and Eva; one great-nephew, Seth; an aunt, Grace Kays, of Montrose; and numerous cousins.

Memorial service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Friends may call Wednesday an hour before service time. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
