Louise D. Campbell, formerly of Dallas, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009, at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore. Born July 25, 1923, in Kansas City, Mo., she was a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Louisa Pierce DeLapp. She was a graduate of Kansas City High School and attended a two-year program at Kansas City University.
She was a veteran of World War II, serving as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy.
She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Scranton.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Campbell, who died in 1993.
Surviving are her sons, James K., of Frederick, Md.; John D., of St. Peters, Pa.; and Paul L., of Shavertown; grandchildren Jason and Brian Campbell; Dacey O’Brien; Erin Crout; and Paula Smith; great-grandchildren Braedon and Patrick O’Brien; Sophia, Madelyn and Evelyn Campbell; and Austin Smith; nieces and nephews Daniel DeLapp; Barbara (DeLapp) Rodriguez; Gerald, David and Donald Fritzges; Diane (Fritzges) Butkoski; and Bonnie (Fritzges) Loyd.

Private
funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Wyoming. There will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.
