Mr. Philibert P. “Phil” Yeager Jr., of Plains Township, and a former resident of Harrisburg, died Sunday evening at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township after an illness.
He was born in Harrisburg, a son of the late Philibert P. Yeager and the late Josephine (Piconi) Yeager. He was educated and graduated from the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia.
Until his retirement he had been employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue for over 33 years.
Phil was a member of the Wilkes-Barre Society of the Deaf, where he participated in both bowling at Chacko’s Lanes and darts at the WBSD.
He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Mary Hixon, Harrisburg; and was loved by many friends and extended family members.

Friends may call at the John V. Morris Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, on Thursday, from 6 until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
