Rebecca (Becky) Sterowski, 50, of Orchard Street, Plymouth, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospice Unit. She was born September 18, 1958, in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Theodore and Marlene Moss Sterowski. She was employed at the VA Medical Center as private duty for Interim Health Care.
She is survived by her daughters Amanda Sterowski, of Sandy Lake, Pa.; Abigail Sterowski, of Plymouth; granddaughters Ariana, Abrielle, Justis; sisters Cathy Delaney, of Sunset Beach, N.C.; Virginia Stivers, of Ashley; brother Larry Sterowski, of Plymouth; and several nieces and nephews; her companions, dogs Bailey and Fanny.
Rebecca was a member of All Saints Parish in Plymouth and was a Girl Scout leader in Plymouth for many years. She was very active as a booster sponsor for her girls’ sports and other school activities.
Becky was also a very active volunteer for the Froggy 101 radio station, in all its fundraising and other special events throughout Luzerne County.
She will be sadly and greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held today at 9:30 a.m. at the Piszczek-Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 70 E. Main St., Plymouth, with a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at All Saints Parish, Willow Street, Plymouth. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Plymouth Township.
Memorial contributions, if desired, should be made to the Luzerne County SPCA or the Froggy 101 & Relay for Life Crew.
