Robert “Bobby” Mustick, of Plymouth, and formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, surrounded by his loving family in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Robert was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late John and Mary Koury Mustick.
He was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1957, and was a member of the 92nd Aerial Port Squadron, U.S. Air Force Reserves. Bob was employed as a sales representative for P&R Macaroni for many years.
He then moved to Tampa, Fla., and pursued a career in sales in the automobile industry.
Upon his return to the Wyoming Valley in 1988, he continued his career in sales for local dealerships, including Maureen Alexander, MotorWorld Automotive Group and Wyoming Valley Motors, from which he retired in 2006.
He was a member of the Saint Anthony/Saint George Marionate Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and especially during the 2002 season, when they won the Super Bowl, and the New York Yankees.
During his illness, for the past two years, he enjoyed watching the Food Channel and trying new recipes.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Albertson, in 1992.
Bob is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Christine; daughter Nicole and her husband, Ryan Walsh, Exeter; and the light of his life, his grandson, Colby; aunts Minnie Koury, Wilkes-Barre; Jean Allen, Fairfax, Va.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., with services in Saint George’s Marionate Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Larksville Community Ambulance, 480 E. State St., Larksville, PA 18651, or to Dialysis Patients Association of NEPA, 5120 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, PA 18643.
The family would like to thank Renal Consultants and the staff of FMC, Nanticoke, for the kindness and fine care shown to Bob during the last two years.
