Dorothy L. Sorber, 85, of Kingston passed away Tuesday morning at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1923 in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Wolfe Miles. Dorothy was a graduate of the Class of 1941 at Harter High School.
She was employed as a Program Manager for the Department of the Navy/Marines for 35 years.
Preceding her in death, are her brother, Donald Miles; stepmother, Naomi Miles; and niece Donna L. Miles.
Surviving are her sister, Mary L. Miles, Kingston; brother, Arthur C. Miles and his wife, Angeline, Hanover Township; stepbrother, Charles (Buddy) Harding and his wife, Rachel, Bloomsburg; nieces, Gail Mullen, Kathy Poremba, Debbie Gill; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. David Wildoner officiating.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
