FORTY FORT — The borough is accepting applications for the next Junior Council Person.
Over the last several years the borough has named a student to its council to represent the interests of youth at the Council table.
The term for a Junior Council person coincides with the school year. To be eligible, the student should not turn voting age (18) during the school year. They must be a junior or senior in high school, and they must reside in Forty Fort. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, Sept. 25. The borough will name the next Junior Council Person on Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
When submitting an application, the student should provide their name, address, telephone number, e-mail, date of birth, a recommendation(s) from a teacher(s) (if possible), and a 250-word, or less, essay germane to local government and Forty Fort.
