WILKES-BARRE – City police are investigating the following:
Joe Barkovitz, of Kidder Street, reported on Monday someone slashed tires on his vehicle when it was parked near his residence.
• Andrew Krysicki, of Bruce Lane, reported on Wednesday someone stole a leaf blower and a weed trimmer from under his rear porch.
• Ryan Maye, of North Franklin Street, reported on Tuesday someone stole computers from his residence.
• Amanda Saxton, of Kidder Street, reported on Tuesday someone purchased items using her credit card without permission.
• Lynette Eckert, of Orchard Street, reported a bicycle was stolen from her residence on Tuesday.
• Robert Swiatek, of Main Road, Hunlock Township, reported that he was choked by a male who robbed him of money in the area of 38-40 Monroe St. at about 6 p.m. Sunday. Police described the suspect as 6 feet, 1 inch tall, approximately 300 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.
• A woman reported on Sunday someone left obscene pictures on her vehicle when it was parked in the area of 552 Hazle Ave.
• Police said a bicycle was stolen from the area of 395 S. Main St. on Sunday.
HANOVER TWP. – Township police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred on South Main Street and New Commerce Boulevard Tuesday night.
Police said Clarence Hopkins, 59, of Plymouth, driving a 1998 Chrysler, struck a 2000 Jeep driven by Carl Schiel, 25, of Wyoming, at about 9:18 p.m.
Hopkins fled the scene, police said. Police said Hopkins was transported to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for a blood-alcohol test.
HAZLE TWP. – Sarah Molli reported on Tuesday someone rummaged through her vehicle when it was parked on West 19th Street, state police at Hazleton said.
BUCK TWP. – A Yatesville woman was transported to a hospital after she lost control of her vehicle that struck two boulders off Route 115 on Tuesday, state police at Wyoming said.
Police said Lilunia Steinman, 24, was traveling south at about 3 p.m. when, she claimed, she was forced off the roadway by another vehicle. Steinman’s vehicle traveled approximately 150 feet in woods where it struck two boulders, police said.
Steinman was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, for minor injuries, police said.
Police described the other vehicle as an older model gray Infinity sedan occupied by one person.

LAKE TWP. – Two Dallas men are facing charges that they damaged lawns while driving stolen all-terrain vehicles, state police at Wyoming said.
Police said Justin F. Traver, 19, of Shadybrook Lane, and Benjamin N. Thompson, 21, of Eleanor Drive, are facing five counts of criminal mischief alleging they damaged lawns at four residences in Lake Township on Aug. 11 into Aug. 12. The charges also involve damage to a port-a-john, police said.
Police allege the two men stole two ATVs and drove through yards causing extensive damage to approximately 25 homes in several municipalities.
Police said they recovered the ATVs from a pond on Sorbertown Hill Road in Lehman Township.
Lehman Township Police Chief Harold Kocher said Traver and Thompson are facing additional charges for damage to lawns in Lehman Township.
Police said charges against Traver and Thompson will be filed with District Judge James Tupper, Kingston Township.
