Wallis A. Besecker, 65, of Dallas, passed away Tuesday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Delmar N. and Margaret June O’Neill Besecker. She was a graduate of Meyers High School, Class of 1961.
Before retiring, she was employed as a secretary by Misericordia University. She was a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church, and a former member of Dallas Junior Women’s Club.
Surviving are her children, Joey Maniskas, Jason Maniskas and wife, Kelly, Jamie Sorbelli and husband, Wayne all of Dallas; brother, Delmar, Malvern; sisters, Holly Fisk, Ocala, Fla., Molly Lally, Litchfield, Conn.; grandchildren, Jesse Reese, Rachel Maniskas, Leela Sorbelli, Olivia Maniskas, and Nicholas Sorbelli.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Earl W. Roberts officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 6 p.m. until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the Luzerne County S.P.C.A.
