Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Harry R. Jones, 64, of Dover, Del., died Wednesday.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre to the late Kentley R. Jones and Ruth S. Semmens.
He served from 1964 to 1967 in the U.S. Army, re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and retired in 1993. After his retirement from the service, he went to work for Culligan Water as a salesman from 1994 until 2005.
A natural storyteller, Mr. Jones loved talking to people, and anyone who met him was treated to tales of his children and grandchildren, his love of cars and the pride he felt in serving his country.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Baily Jones, of Dover; his son, Neil C. Jones, and his wife, Alissa, of Baltimore; his daughter, Heather L. Mann, and her husband, Dale, of Dover; his brother, William Kentley Jones, and his wife, Nelda, of Sarasota, Fla.; his sister, Sandra Pritchard, and her husband, Jack, of Nokomis, Fla.; and his two grandchildren, Carter and Baily Mann.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10) in Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Pa.
