Veronica Yablonski, 82, a resident at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton, and formerly of Avoca, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Mercy Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Avoca, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Veronica (Muchalek) Gregorski. She was married to the late Frank Yablonski, who died in 1981.
She attended Avoca schools and was employed in area garment factories for many years. Veronica was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with recreational activities at Allied.
She was preceded in death by brothers Martin, Anthony, Mike and Edward Gregorski; sisters Anna Boc, Helen and Cecilia Gregorski, Blanche Podlaski, and Loretta Demich.
Surviving are daughters Cheryl Panunti and husband, Robert, Avoca; and Veronica “Ronnie” Ambrosavage, Duryea; a sister, Ethel Kerechuk, Avoca; grandchildren Rob Panunti, Georgia, and Melissa Panunti, Avoca; Stacy Hintze and husband, Edward, and Jeremy Ambrosavage, all of Hughestown; great-grandchildren Ryan and Brooke Hintze; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Ruane & Regan Funeral Home, 1308 Grove Street, Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca, with the Rev. Philip Sladicka officiating.
