HARRISBURG – State Rep. Phyllis Mundy, D-Kingston, has announced that state recycling performance grants have been awarded to two municipalities in the 120th Legislative District.
The grants were awarded by the state Department of Environmental Protection and based on recycling efforts in the 2007 calendar year:
• Luzerne received $945 for recycling 101.6 tons of material in the borough.
• Exeter received $55,998 for recycling 3,340 tons of material in that borough.
