Nancy A. Wetzel, 54, of Plains Township, passed from the arms of her loving family into the Lord’s care, last Thursday, September 24, 2009, in the Hospice Community Care of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Nancy was born in Allentown to the late Peter and Dorothy Zozula King. She attended school in Allentown and was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1972.
Nancy was a past shift manager of the Auntie Ann’s Pretzel Shop located in the Hickory Run Turnpike Plaza. She was a custom framer in Michael’s, Allentown. Most recently she was a sales associate at Sear’s Department Store, Wilkes-Barre.
Throughout her life she was a foster mom to numerous children in the Jim Thorpe area. Her hobbies included art, crocheting, reading, video games and spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy was a past member of the Blue Mountain Community Church, Palmerton, until moving to the Plains area. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bruce Sr., at home; sons Bruce Jr. and his wife, Rebekah, San Antonio, Texas; Jeffrey and his wife, Janet, Pottstown; Daniel and his wife, Karissa, Barrington, N.J.; daughter Maria Yanaitis and her husband, Christopher, Plains Township; brothers Peter King, Neffs; Nicholas King and his wife, Patricia, Delaware; grandchildren Eli, Evie, Gabriel, Grace and Hanna; along with nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. from the Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark St., Plains Township, with the Pastor Rick Collins of the Blue Mountain Community Church officiating.
