Students and staff from Luzerne County Community College’s New Choices/New Options program recently participated in Leadership Day and a Pay Equity Rally at the State Capitol. The program is funded through a state grant under the Department of Labor and Industry. Program participants went to Harrisburg to thank local legislators for their past support and to request continued funding. In the past year, more than 80 students have completed the program at the college, which includes instruction in career-decision making, resume preparation, job search strategies and goal setting.
