Class of 1987 will hold a 25th reunion planning meeting at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 at Murphy’s Bar, Slocum Street, Swoyersville. The reunion will be held in 2012. Anyone interested in helping to plan the reunion is asked to attend this very important meeting.

Hanover Township High School

Class of 1969 will hold its final planning meeting for the 40th reunion at 7 p.m. on Monday at Alexis’ Tavern, St. Mary’s Road and South Main Street, Hanover Township. Reunion events will take place during Columbus Day weekend with a mixer on Oct. 9 at Alexis’ Tavern; a clambake on Oct. 10 at the Breslau Fire Hall, featuring catering by Cooper’s Seafood and entertainment by Tom Slick and the Converted Thunderbolt Grease Slappers; and a New York State Wine Country Tour on Oct. 1 1. All classmates, friends, and Hanover High School graduates who are followers of Tom Slick are invited to attend. Reservations may still be made for the mixer or clambake and seats are still available for the wine country tour. Pittston Area High School

Class of 1974 will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Tony’s Pizzeria, City Line Plaza, Pittston, to discuss plans for the 35th reunion to be held from 6-10 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the Dupont Hose Company Hall. The cost is $25 per person. The cost includes hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, dessert, soft drinks, beer and wine. The attire is “Black and Blue,” black tie, blue jeans or anything in between. Class of 1949 will hold its 60th anniversary reunion on Sunday at the Apple Tree Terrace, Newberry Estates, Dallas.
St. Ann’s

Alumnae will hold its monthly meeting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the East Mountain Inn, Route 1 15, Wilkes-Barre. Plans for the annual Christmas luncheon will be finalized.
St. John the Evangelist and Seton Catholic High Schools

A combined reunion will be held on Nov. 27 at The Woodlands Inn and Resort, Route 315, Plains Township. The event is open to all former students, teachers, staff and friends of Seton Catholic, Pittston Central Catholic and Saint John the Evangelist High School and grade school. Cost is $63 per person, which includes dinner buffet, limited bar and music by Groove Train. A photo booth will also be provided.
