More than 200 children and adults attended the inaugural Family Fun Fest sponsored by the Earthly Angels Autism Fund last Saturday at the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary grounds in Laflin. Ron D’Eliseo, president of the Earthly Angels, called the event a huge success and thanked all the volunteers and those who donated their time, talent, equipment and other items, including hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream, for the event.
Rev. Paul McDonnell, OSJ, chaired the Fun Fest Committee.
Since its founding eight years ago, the Earthly Angels have raised and then given away more than $100,000 to causes that support autistic children and their families.
The next event for the Earthly Angels is their major fund raiser, an island themed dinner-dance called “Reggae for Robert.” It is scheduled for August 1 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Center. Only 200 tickets are available for this fun evening. For tickets or information, call 655-8515.
