Annabelle Macintosh, of Noxen, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1919, in Kingston, and was a daughter of the late Myron and Dorothy Jones French.

Annabelle was employed by Weston’s Electronics of Elizabeth, N.J., earlier in her life and has served as secretary/treasurer of the Orcutt’s Grove Cemetery Association with the utmost efficiency for over 30 years until the time of her death.

She was a member of the Noxen United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Carteret, N.J.

Her husband, William, died in 1975. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Stinson; a brother, Joseph French; and sisters, Dorothy Shafer, Edna Newberry and Alice Lane.

Surviving are children, Lily A. Turner of Edison, N.J., Roberta Pascucci of Willow Grove, Pa., and William Macintosh Jr., and his wife, Karin, of Fayetteville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Grace Nalbone, Helen Schwartz and Mary Hopfer, all of Noxen.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Noxen United Methodist Church, Route 29, Noxen, with the Rev. Linda Bryan officiating. Private interment will be in the Orcutt’s Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
