LARKSVILLE – Two teenagers skipping school set fire to a vacant house on Hillside Avenue last year, police said.

A 17-year-old boy from Edwardsville and a 15-year-old boy from Kingston were charged with arson, burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

Police Friday said the boys admitted to setting the fire the morning of Nov. 24. The boys were students from the Alternative Learning Center on Vine Street, Edwardsville located near the vacant house, police said.

HANOVER TWP. – Township police reported the following:

• Police on Tuesday charged Danny Michael Prula, 55, of Regent Street, Hanover Township, with driving under the influence after investigating a crash on state Route 29. Police alleged Prula showed signs of intoxication.

Two counts of driving under the influence were filed with District Judge Joseph Halesey. A preliminary hearing is scheduled on March 22.

• Police said Jesse Hall, 28, of Pringle, suffered a chest injury when he lost control of his vehicle on the Sans Souci Parkway at about 2:10 a.m. Friday. Hall said he reached for a cell phone when his 1994 Ford Ranger struck a concrete barrier.

Police said Hall displayed signs of intoxication and was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.

During the investigation of the crash, police said Alexis Gleco, 37, of Nanticoke, was captured on an arrest warrant for charges of unsworn falsification to authorities and false identification to law enforcement. Gleco was a witness to the crash, police said.

Gleco was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

SHICKSHINNY – Hannu Kates, of Shickshinny, reported Thursday a global positioning system was stolen from his tractor when it was parked near Wachovia Bank on Main Street, state police at Shickshinny said.

PITTSTON – Exeter police charged a man for allegedly selling marijuana.

Andre Lamon Clinkscales, 35, of Butler Street, Pittston, was arraigned in Wilkes-Barre Central Court on Wednesday on two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.

Police alleged Clinkscales sold marijuana from his residence on Jan. 18 and Feb. 7, according to the criminal complaints.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Feb. 16 before District Judge Fred Pierantoni in Pittston.

WILKES-BARRE – State police Thursday filed drug charges against Augustine Decruz after searching a residence on North Pennsylvania Avenue. The search, done under the authority of a warrant, turned up crack cocaine, cocaine, $2,500 in cash, a surveillance system and two handguns, police said. Decruz, 57, was arrested and arraigned and committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail. He faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:

• Kelly Golightly of South Hancock Street said Friday that someone stole her purse from her vehicle.

• J&H Excavating reported Friday that two welding cables were taken from its property in the rear of Scott Street.
