Ruth F. Grimm, 85, of Mountain Top, passed away Thursday evening, February 10, 2011, at the Smith Health Care Center where she had been a recent guest.
Born in Altoona, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Morris L. and Barbara (Hoover) Fluke. Ruth was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Mountain Top. She received extraordinary care at the Smith Center and also from Heartland Hospice, for which her family is extremely grateful.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Robert E. Grimm; and her grandson Christopher Jones.
Surviving are her children, Jacqueline Jones, Mountain Top, Richard Grimm and wife, Sandra, Dunmore, and Deborah Grimm, West Chester, Pa.; grandchildren, Michele Jones, Jana Grimm and Brian Grimm; and great-grandchildren, Cori Jones and Shandi Singer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and again from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
