Michael James DeAngelo and Melanie Gable, together with their families, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Diane Gable, Hughestown. She is the granddaughter of Ann Marie Gable and the late Robert Gable, Pittston, and the late George and Grace Wilchinski.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeAngelo, Avoca, and Darlene Jamieson, Duryea. He is the grandson of the late Joseph and Irene DeAngelo and the late James and Marion Jamieson.

Melanie is a 2003 graduate of Pittston Area Senior High School and a graduate of Luzerne County Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in business management. She is employed by Keystone Automotive Operations Inc. as an eCommerce assistant accountant representative.

Michael is a 2000 graduate of Pittston Area Senior High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 2001-2005 as an aircraft hydraulics system journeyman for C-130, C-9, C-5 Galaxy, C-141 and KC-135 cargo aircraft. Michael is employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot as a sheet metal worker.

The couple will exchange vows May 21 at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
