Douglas E. Webb, 47, of Centermoreland, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

Born March 8, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, he was a loving son of Charlene Lawrence Webb, of Colorado, and the late Robert Denten Webb.

Douglas was a 1981 graduate of East Wood High School, Luckey, Ohio, and was employed for 28 years at Diamond Manufacturing, West Wyoming.

Doug was a loving husband and wonderful father to his daughter. His greatest enjoyments in life were being with his wife of 11 years, and attending to and taking great pride in his home and yard. He was a kind and loving man and will be missed deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, the former Joanne Stook; and mother Charlene Lawrence Webb are a daughter Heather Blanchard, Glen Lyon; sisters, Patricia (Larry) Getz, Ohio, Mary (Bud) James, Colorado, Carol (Les) Kellum, Montana, and Bobbie Jo Sutton, Colorado; grandmother Nell Lawrence, Kentucky; nieces and nephews; brother and sisters-in-law, Todd and Peggy Prutzman, Wyoming, Frank and Joell Stook, West Pittston, Dave and June Jones, Hunlock Creek, and Joseph Stook, Edwardsville; as well as many friends and coworkers; and his best buddy, his cat, Leia.

The family of Douglas Webb would like to extend a special Thank You to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Diamond Manufacturing, and the many friends who were of great support throughout Doug’s illness.

A memorial service will be held for Doug from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. All are welcome to attend.
