Mercedes Fereck and Jason Carrasco were united in marriage on May 15, 2010, at St. Paul Parish, Cambridge, Mass., by the Rev. James Savage.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Mary Lou Fereck, Duryea. She is the granddaughter of the late Bartley and Isabelle Kaminski and Elisabeth Fereck and the late Albert Fereck.

The groom is the son of Steven and Mary Carrasco, Westwood, Mass.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose a St. Pucchi organza strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and a sweeping train. Maid of honor was Michelle Fereck, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Morgan Fereck, sister of the bride; Sierra Carrasco, sister of the groom; and friends, Sara Donahue Tribbett, Jennifer Samsel Newman, Kathleen Willoth and Tania Stockbridge.

The groom chose his brother, Justin Carrasco, as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Carrasco and Josh Carrasco, brothers of the groom, and Steve Burgess, Pat Dugan, Jeff Lemay and Matt Stockbridge, friends of the groom.

Music was provided by the Boston Boy Choir. Liturgy readings were given by aunts of the couple, Carmella Fereck and Carlotta Carrasco Ritenour, and friend of the couple, Jonathan Kotula. Godparents of the couple, Albert Fereck and Gerri Dellinger and Michael and Jane Carrasco, presented the offertory gifts.

The bride was honored with a shower in Westwood, Mass., by her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. She was also honored with a shower at Cooper’s in Pittston by her mother and bridesmaids. A rehearsal party was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Parker House Hotel, Boston, Mass. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Hyatt Regency, Boston, Mass.

The couple graduated from Syracuse University, Newhouse School of Communication. Mercedes is employed by Schwartz Public Relations and Jason is employed by Gupta Media.

The couple honeymooned in Greece. They reside in Dedham, Mass.
