Kristen Lee Mitchell and Gary Roger Samuels were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 2010, at Carmen’s Country Inn, Drums, by the Rev. James Calderone.
The bride is the daughter of Andrew J. Mitchell and Lynn A. VanDeWorp, Williamsport. She is the granddaughter of Grace Mitchell, Williamsport.
The groom is the son of Kathy Metzger, Los Lunas, N.M., and Gary Samuels, Cape Coral, Fla. He is the grandson of Roger Samuels and the late Irene Samuels, Shavertown.
The bride, escorted by her father, chose her dear friend, Charlien Goldberg, as matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Sharon McTighe, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Anthony Yenason and the groomsman was Gregory Zeigler, both dear friends of the groom. Ushers were Daniel Mitchell, brother of the bride, and Ryan Goldberg, friend of the couple.
Greeters and program attendants were Megan Baker and Nick DeStefano. Ceremony readings were given by Tiffany Carty.
Kristen is a 2005 graduate of South Williamsport Jr.-Sr. High School; a 2009 graduate of Misericordia University; and a 2010 graduate of Fordham University with a master’s degree in social work. She is pursuing a certificate in geriatric care management. She is employed by Misericordia University as community outreach coordinator.
Gary is a 2000 graduate of Dallas High School; a 2005 graduate of Lycoming College; and a 2010 graduate of Drexel University with a master’s degree in higher education, student development and affairs. He is employed by Lycoming College as student life coordinator.
