Denise Ann Walsh and Christopher Scott McGee were united in marriage on Sept. 4, 2010, outdoors at Bentley’s in Ashley with the Rev. Joseph Adams officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara Bonczek, Pittston, and Dennis Walsh, Nanticoke. She is the granddaughter of Lillian Bonczek, Avoca, and the late Louise Walsh.

The groom is the son of Diane McGee and the late Dennis McGee, Summerville, S.C.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose Jessica May, friend of the bride, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelsey McGee, sister of the groom, and Kierstyn and Brenna Satkowski, nieces of the bride. Flower girls were Lily and Chloe Andricks, nieces of the bride.

The groom chose Eric Progar, friend of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were Jamall Fields, friend of the groom; Nick Winiarczyk, cousin of the groom; and Ian Satkowski, nephew of the bride. Ring bearer was Carter McGee, nephew of the groom.

A reception was held at Bentley’s, Ashley. The parents of the groom held a rehearsal dinner at Rodano’s in Wilkes-Barre.

Denise is a 2003 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She is employed at Geisinger Health Plan.

Christopher is a 1999 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in logistics management at Almeda University and served six years in the United States Army. He is employed at Furniture and Mattress Discount King, Exeter.
