MOUNTAIN TOP: Hoops for Hope T-shirts are on sale at Rice Elementary School through March 1 1, with a delivery date of March 23. The T-shirts, which are available in both children’s and adult sizes, cost $8. Proceeds benefit the Mountain Top Relay for Life.
Hoops for Hope is a benefit sponsored by the Crestwood faculty, administration and staff. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 24 in the Crestwood High School gymnasium. Admission is $2 for children and $5 for adults. Competitions will include Fairview vs. Rice Township and the middle school vs. the high school. There will also be a pie-in-the-face contest and a 50-50 raffle. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

PLAINS TWP.: The Plains Parks and Recreation Board is accepting applications for summer employment. All applicants must be residents of the township who are either presently enrolled in college or graduating high school students who will be attending college in the fall of 2011.
College applicants must submit proof of the college or university they are attending. Applications may be picked up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plains Township Municipal building, 126 N. Main St. Deadline to submit applications is April 29.
