The Association for Employee Services, a nonprofit organization that oversees the operation of the East Mountain Child Care Center in Wilkes-Barre, will sponsor a Quarter Auction fundraiser March 20 at the Swoyersville American Legion, 259 Shoemaker St., Swoyersville. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 2. Tickets are $5 and include admission and one numbered paddle for bidding. Food items and baked goods will be available for purchase at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 706-7880. All proceeds will benefit the child care center.
