DALLAS: A homemade ham and cabbage dinner and bake sale is planned from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Loyalville United Methodist Church, Loyalville Road.

Adult dinners cost $8 and $3.50 for children younger than 12 years old. Takeouts will be available. To place orders in advance, leave a name, phone number, number of dinners and a pickup time at 477-3521.

LUZERNE COUNTY: WVIA-FM’s longest-running program, “Mixed Bag, will broadcast performances from last year’s 21st annual Billtown Blues Festival at 9 p.m. Monday to March on 89.9 FM and at http://www.wvia.org/radio/listen-live.

The lineup includes Miz Ida and the All-Nightas and Tas Cru Monday, Billy Gibson and Dave Fields and Big Bill Morganfield Tuesday, Debbie Davies and Robin Rogers Wednesday, Ana Popovic and Part II of the Big Bill Morganfield performance Thursday, and The Nighthawks on Friday.

MOUNTAIN TOP: An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will take place 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at St. Jude’s Church, 420 S. Main Road, to benefit Nicholas Legge. The menu will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, dessert, and beverages. Takeouts will be available throughout the day. There will also be raffle baskets and a bake sale.

Cost is $10 for ages 11 through adult, $5 for children 6-10 years old, and free for children 5 years old and younger. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance at Triangle Pharmacy, Wychock Mountaintop Beverage, the Ice House Pub, Cavanaugh’s Grille and St. Jude’s parish center.

WILKES-BARRE: The Wyoming Valley Dog Owners Group is selling calendar lottery tickets to raise money for new ground cover for its dog park at Hollenback Park. Tickets are $5 each for a chance to win at least $25 every weekday in May in accordance with the evening drawing of the Pennsylvania Lottery. Sundays are worth $50, and on May 8 and 30 the prize is $100. Tickets are available at Alterations by Liza, 135 Page Ave. in Kingston. For store hours, call 288-8122.

Other ways to help the park is by becoming a “Friend of the Dog Park.” The $50 per year fee provides a free T-shirt and a window decal. Sponsorship signs displayed on the park’s fence are also available for businesses and individuals. New sponsorships purchased before June receive two months free. The cost for the first year is $250 with a $100 renewal fee in 2012.
