Mark A. Parlante Sr., of Wapwallopen, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 10, 2011, at home.
Born July 6, 1958, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Bruno and Irene Skurkis Parlante.
Mark was a graduate of Crestwood High School, class of 1976. He was self employed for many years and a member of St. Jude’s Church, Mountain Top.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Melissa Hackney.
Mark is survived by children, Mark A. Parlante Jr., of Exeter, Nicole Parlante, of Plains Township, Ashlee Parlante, of Nanticoke, and Calyssa Parlante, of Lexington, Ky.; grandson Jayden Evanko; sister, Patricia and her husband, Jerry Antosh, of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; and brother, Rick and wife Chris Parlante, of Naples, Fla.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are by Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
