Boesche
WILKES-BARRE – A woman was arraigned Friday on charges she sold crack cocaine while a child was inside her apartment.
State police at Wyoming arrested Leah Boesche, 22, on Thursday after she allegedly sold crack from Interfaith Apartments, North Sherman Street.
Brian Francis, 28, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested when he was found lying on a couch in the apartment hiding bags of marijuana under a coat, state police said.
Boesche was charged with four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility, and one count each of child endangerment, corruption of minors, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.
Francis was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property.
They were arraigned in Wilkes-Barre Central Court.
Boesche was released from the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after posting $10,000 bail. Francis was jailed at the county prison for lack of $10,000 bail.
According to the criminal complaints:
Troopers arranged to purchase crack from Boesche on Thursday and she offered to sell it from her apartment.
Surveillance was set up in the area as Boesche allegedly sold $100 worth of crack with a child in the apartment, the complaint says.
Troopers returned to the apartment and arrested Boesche.
Troopers searched the apartment, allegedly finding a stolen .45-caliber handgun, three cell phones, a digital scale with cocaine residue and two additional bags of marijuana.
