Kristen Topolski, shelter director of Ruth’s Place, recently served as a guest speaker for the Luzerne County Community College chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Topolski spoke about the mission and daily operations of the shelter. Donations of personal items and supplies were collected for the shelter on the day of the presentation. Members of the College’s Health Awareness Club and Peer Mentors Club also attended the presentation.
