HL Homecoming Committee meets

Training set for caretakers

The Alzheimer’s Association, in coordination with Mercy Center Skilled Nursing and Personal Care, Dallas, and the Blue Ribbon Foundation of Blue Cross of NEPA, will present a full day of training for families currently caring for a loved one with dementia from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 in the Rivers Room at Mercy Center.

ESL classes offered

The Osterhout Free Library, 71 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre will offer a series of free classes for English as a Second Language learners at a beginning level from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, April 14, 21 and 28; May 5, 12 and 19; and June 2 and 9.

Easter Egg Hunt planned

Dallas Borough will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt beginning at noon on Saturday, April 16 at the Kenneth Young Memorial Park located on the corner of Burndale Road and Luzerne Avenue in Dallas.

Children ages 1-10 years of age who reside in Dallas Borough are invited. For further information, call the Dallas Borough office at 675-1389.

HL Committee plans Egg Hunt

The Harveys Lake Homecoming Committee will hold an Easter Egg Hunt from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the Harveys Lake Little League.

The event is for children ages newborn to 10 years old.

Easter Egg Hunt in Kingston Township

The Kingston Township Recreation Commission Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the Center Street Park, across from the Kingston Township Administration Building, 180 E. Center St., Shavertown.

Children will be divided into three age groups for the event: 0 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years and 9 to 12 years.

The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by the Kingston Township Board of Supervisors for resident children of Kingston Township and proof of township residency is required for admission.

Lions club plans breakfast

The Harveys Lake Lions Club will sponsor its annual All You Can Eat Pancake, Sausage and Scrambled Egg Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Palm Sunday, April 17 at the Lake-Noxen Elementary School cafeteria.

Tickets, at $5 for adults and $3 for children, can be purchased by calling Peter at 639-1235.

Alzheimer’s Support Group meets

The Dallas Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18 in the board room of the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 55 W. Center Hill Rd., Dallas.
