Helen Joyce Peacock, 55, of Dallas, died Friday afternoon, April 8, 2011, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Urbana, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Marion T. and Mary (Mae) Merowsky Warfel.
Helen was a retired dispatcher for the Illinois State Police.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Peacock; and her brother, Craig Warfel.
Surviving are sisters, Janice Keener, Lake Wales, Fla.; Jean Quick, Glendale, Ariz.; Norine Seefeldt, Homer, Ill.; Nadine Rund, Tolono, Ill.; brother, Carl Warfel, Decatur, Ill.; aunt, Helen (Daisy) Dargiewicz, Nanticoke; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 6:45 p.m. this evening with the Rev. Beverly Butler officiating from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main Street, Plains Township. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.
