WILKES-BARRE — An Allentown man admitted to a Luzerne County judge on Monday he offered $5 to a boy to get into his car.
Joseph Reese Williams, 52, pleaded guilty to luring child into a motor vehicle and driving while under the influence of alcohol before Judge Tina Polachek Gartley.
Prosecutors withdrew a disorderly conduct charge against Williams.
Edwardsville police said Williams offered $5 to a boy to get into his Chevrolet Astro van in the area of Zerby Avenue and Roosevelt Street on March 1, according to court records.
Williams was ordered to be evaluated by the Pennsylvania Offender Sexual Assessment Board to determine if he is a violent sexual offender. He may also be subject under Megan’s Law to register his address with state police for 15 years.
Polachek Gartley said Williams will be sentenced Nov. 25.
